CCMS contributed to the Smart Blue Regions Project Conference
CCMS experts Dr. Margarita Stancheva and Dr. Hristo Stanchev took participation at the Smart Blue Regions project Conference “The role of regions in fostering blue growth” held on 22nd January 2019 in Berlin, Germany. The conference was organised by the SUBMARINER Network for Blue Growth EEIG and brought a wide range of interested stakeholders from the business community, public administrations, research and academia. This important event was especially focused on:
• Paving the way for regional Blue Growth cooperation
• Smart Specialisation and Multi-Use as drivers for Blue Growth
• Approaches to financing Blue Growth cooperation
• Policy measures and support structures for fostering Blue Growth

Information Day Program LIFE
Participation of CCMS at the Information Day Program LIFE, 26 April, Sofia, Bulgaria
CCMS team attended the Information Day on the Program LIFE on 26 April 2018 in Sofia, Bulgaria, hosted by Ministry of Environment and Water in its Capacity of LIFE National Contact Point and under a capacity building project. During the event, the LIFE program, the timetable for announcing and submitting project proposals under Call 2018, the new developments and forthcoming changes, as well as the new Multi-Annual Work Program 2018-2020, were presented.
CCMS took participation at the MUSES Final Conference

The final conference of the MUSES (Multi-Use in European Seas) H2020 Project was held on 10th October 2018 in Brussels, Belgium. The event was a great success and brought a wide range of interested stakeholders from the business community, public administrations, research and academia. The aim of MUSES Final Conference was to present the EU-wide Multi-Use Action Plan that addresses a variety of multi-use combinations and to be a platform for relevant blue growth actors to discuss the Action Plan and consider possible commitments to advance multi-use development in Europe.

Organization of EGU2018
EUROPEAN GEOSCIENCES UNION GENERAL ASSEMBLY (EGU2018) VIENNA
AUSTRIA 08 - 13 APRIL 2018
Dr. Margarita Stancheva was convener of EGU2018 Geomorphology Session: Coastal Zone Geomorphologic Interactions: natural versus human-induced driving factors” with collaboration in collaboration with Dr. Andreas Baas (Kings College, London, UK), Prof. Giorgio Anfuso (University of Cadiz, Spain), Dr. Hannes Tonnison (Tallinn University, Estonia) and Dr. Guillaume Brunier (Université Bretagne Sud, France). The session was successfully conducted for the tenth time at the EGU General Assembly in Vienna, Austria. The EGU2018 GM11.4 Session was held with 23 abstract submissions, and was divided into one oral session of six 15 minute talks each and a poster session with 17 poster presentations. The session has been sponsored by the Commission on Coastal Systems (CCS) of the International Geographical Union (IGU) (http://www.igu-ccs.org) for the seventh year in succession. The next EGU General Assembly 2019 will be on 07 – 12 April 2019 in Vienna, Austria, and we are cordially looking forward to your active participation again!
